Here it is, finally in! This is Ghostface's Hero Robe and Mask Costume. This is not one of the cheap theater robes used in the opening scene of the second film, this is the "Hero" sparkling fabric coat/robe from the first film! There were several robes used throughout filming, the "Ghostface Killer" Robes were designed with a tie around the neck, one was designed for the end of the film for Neve Campbell "Sideny" this one used a velcro closing rather than the string to tie around the neck, and was the only Robe made this way for the first film: Scream 1 (In the following films Scream 2 & Scream 3 the robes were made with the velcro clouser down the front). The mask is made by FunWorld, There were 2 different types of masks used on film, one was made by KNB FX and can be seen in certain parts of the film like: Casey's "Drew Barrymore's" openeing death scene, and also Principal Himbrey's death scene, Wes Craven was unhappy with the way the KNB FX mask appeared on film, and he decided to use the store bought FunWorld masks. This is very similar to the event with the Halloween: H20 masks. There were only 3 KNB FX masks used on film, and about 6 FunWorld masks. The FunWorld masks were all modified by the FX company they were given a more detailed paint job, and had higher quality materials added to them. The Robe is made of a very high quality material with the sparkling fabric, the gloves are attached to the robe, the hood of the robe has a carboard like material to hold it stiff, and the entire piece matches up exactly on screen. The mask attaches to the hood of the robe, and has been extremely distressed from use on film, it has began to yellow a bit, and has several spots of distress. I was told by the previous owner that the mask has been restored by painting over a spot with dry rot. The mask matches up on screen throughout the entire film. The Costume and Mask come with solid paper work. The robe comes with a COA from It's A Wrap which handeled almost all of the wardrobe and props from the film when it wraped, and the mask comes with a COA from ISA's "Iternational Stunt Association's" Stunt Coordinator Tony Cecere who states that this mask was undoubtedly used in the prinicple photography of Scream. Tony was lucky enough to grap this mask after filming had wraped. Sorry for the long explaination above but, there is a lot of history behind this costume. Anyway, here are the pictures, I could honestly not be more happy with this set. This is the centerpiece of my Screen-Used items collection. I will try to post pictures of my full collection soon, and I'll get more pictures of the Ghostface costume when I order a mannequin to place it on. Thanks for looking, and let me know what you think of it.

Could this prop be classified as one of those your allowed to wear? lol.Amazing score. I love scream, and I long for an accurate robe! When will there be one! Who is brave enough to make it? lol.Could you take some pictures of the frayed edges, the velcro openeing, the hood tip, and POSSIBLY of you wearing it if you want. But I dont think your going to want to wear this...I wonder what the robe is really made of. Take it to a materialist lol.
