Topic titled: I HATE HUMAN JASON<!--quoteo<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE</div><div class=\'quotemain\'><!--quotecI also hate the fact that it's fashionable in the fan community to prefer the early movies and the early, 'human' Jason, as if that gave one 'cred'.Jason, prior to Jason Lives, was a Michael Myers clone. There's really no disputing this. He was 'unstoppable' in the sense that nobody could pragmatically put him down, but he was still quite 'killable' - and 'human, all-too-human'. He only really acquired a discernible character of his own in the sixth film, and it was only with Hodder that he came into his own as a character fundamentally distinct from the slasher archetype which preceded him. Even his appearance was rather generic in the early films, with only the iconic mask serving to differentiate him from a thousand-and-one other physiologically degenerate slashers. In short, there are two separate 'eras' in the Friday franchise: the first five could rightfully be called 'stalk-and-slash', or pure slasher movies, whereas the films from Jason Lives are more accurately termed 'monster movies'.<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndSure people can have their opinion, but who actually likes JGTH or X? After 6, I beleive Jason was turned into a Monster, and no longer a slasher. Brooker's performance as Jaosn is probably my favorite, although Jason Lives is my favorite, entertaining wise. Look of Jason, I'd have to say Part 3If this doesnt belong here, then fine, delete it.
