"mask Collector" Or "character Replica Collector"?

Hey gang,I thought this could lead to an interesting discussion with so many new members on-board since I've joined the scene. This question is not meant to imply one collection direction is better than the other. I'm just curious to know what you think when you look around your rooms.Do you consider yourself a "Mask Collector" or a "Character Replica Collector"?By "mask collector" I just mean masks in general... pieces based on original artist concepts. "Character Replica Collector"... well is just that. You want a 3D version of some of your favorite film characters. Maybe you fit into both categories.I consider myself a 'Character replica collector". Looking at all of the pieces in my collection they are based on specific characters from films. I am such a huge fan of movies (with horror being my favorite genre) I think it's just my way of bringing myself even closer to the film, and nostalgia plays a big part for me as well.But don’t get me wrong... I very much enjoy looking at original pieces and I can appreciate the work and dedication that goes into making them <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":thumbsup:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> .... and you?

well jason,To be honest with ya, I am a mixture of both. Some of you have known me long enough to have seen my collection through all its different phases. At one point I was definitely a Character Replica Collector. Over time, I have branched out into all kinds of different territory. I guess it just comes down to what I think is cool regardless of whether or not its a specific character, an original design or a mass produced mask....BUT....I have lots of love for the werewolves....Take care,Tommy

Character replica collector here as well. I've just got into masks in the past few months, but I've been collecting props from my favorite movies for several years.I'm really starting to like original sculpts, I have a feeling I'll be delving into that side once I'm happy with my movie replica collection.

I only collect characters from movies that i love, i do like a ton of original sculpts out there but if i collected everything i thought was cool looking i'd have to buy another house, so yeah i keep it to what i love the most.

I collect characters from my fav Movies.Out of 30 or so peices i own , only 1 is not of a Film character.So Character replica collector for sure.........

I mainly stick to The Big names.Jason, Fred, Mikey, leatherface.But In my collection there are some random zombies and dead people.For me, Whatever sticks out, I'll grab it.
