Attention Indiana Jones Fans!

This is a piece that's been eluding me for a while, ever since I first saw Raiders I've wanted the idol, and the versions out there were either outta my price range, too hard to come by, or didn't strike me right. Until this one! Made by Bluefive on the RPF it's a hollow cast resin one piece kit and VERY close to the screen used piece. The hollow aspect was really a big selling point to me, a little known fact about the screen used idol, it had glass eyes. The original intent was the eyes would be radio controlled and servo powered, as Indy came closer, the idol would be watching him. The gag never really worked, so it wasn't filmed but the eyes can still be seen in the final cut of the movie. Since most idols are solid, it made adding the eyes impossible, this one though made that very possible! The only downside, being it was hollow, it ruined the illusion as soon as you touched it, or picked it up, to fix that I filled the inside with a cement compound, adding a GOOD 5 pounds to it LOL I could not freakin be any happier with how it came out, I really wanted the finish to be something different, have it look like an old gold artifact, but one that was made for a movie set, so not perfect at all LOL I got that effect by doing a 2 part finish, a base coat of brushed on gloss black, and then a powdered gold buffing compound ontop. Thanks alot guys, appreaciate it! Was a lotta fun to see this one come together! Joey, yeah registration is closed for the most part, I think they open it maybe once or twice a year to let a couple new people in, but that's about it

Hell yea man that is bad ass! Great job on the finishing work, it looks top notch!How did you get the glass eyes to stay in place? Sealing them in with the concrete compound?
