I have been collecting comic books for quite some time now which include titles such as X-men, Wolverine , Spiderman , Batman , Superman, Hulk , Spawn, Hellboy, Deadpool, Iron Fist , and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.I have always really enjoyed the artwork of Jack Kirby, John Romita Sr, Neil Adams, Jack Davis, John Byrne, Frank Miller, Jim Lee, Todd Mcfarlane, Peter Laird, Alex Ross , Greg Horn and Bruce Timm.I am a big fan of the old EC comic books Tales From The Crypt, Vault Of Horror and Haunt Of Fear and I am also addicted to collecting comic book statues and figures. Are there any other comic book fans on this site.

I used to when I was younger, I just can't bring myself to pay that much for a comic now a days though. I still have a bunch left over I should put up for sale.

The new comics that that I buy are just for enjoyment and they are honestly a little on the expensive side so I can understand why some collectors just stop collecting all together. That is a dream job to work on a comic book related project. The recent comicbook movies however are a gift to loyal long time comic book readers.I really wish that Spiderman costume would have had the classic John Romita eyes like in the Aex Ross art at the beginning of the movie. The Green Goblin would have been even better if he looked more like the original comics with a halloween stlye mask and hood.I look forward to the new Wolverine Origins movie and would like to see him to wear the correct costume with mask instead of the X Men leather biker outfits.I think if they used the Batman Keaton cowl as a base with the classic Wolverine wings over the eyes it would be amazing.<!--quoteo(post=284101:date=Nov 15 2008, 02:20 PM:name=chilidog77)<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE(chilidog77 @ Nov 15 2008, 02:20 PM) <a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=284101\"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class=\'quotemain\'><!--quotecYo monte I am a big comic book fan I also worked on Spiderman at ADI I had to bring in a bunch of old greengoblin comics the sculptors used as refrence they only had black and white photocopys to go off of from production.I collect old spiderman,batman,ghostrider,x-men,wolverine,the shadow, daredevil frank miller stuff, fantastic four, captain america, swampthing, manthing, sabretooth, marvels .I have a crossbones mask tattoo on my left arm. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"blink.gif\" /><!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEnd

I'm 20 and I actually just recently got into them. The Marvel crossover, Civl War, is what dragged me into it so now I read them religiously. I read: Captain America, Red Hulk, Thor, The Ultimates (anxiously awaiting Ultimate Avengers), Star Wars Legacy, Iron Man. I was reading Spider-Man, Moon Knight and X-Men but they don't seem to be going anywhere, especially Spider-Man. I'm very disappointed in it lately. As far as writers and artists go I'm very into Ed Brubaker, Brian Michael Bendis, Alex Ross, Ed McGuiness, Marko Djurdjevic, Olivier Coipel, Frank Cho, Jeph Loeb, J. Michael Straczynski, Frank Miller, Gabriel del Otto.

There were so many different spiderman designs and masks/helmet designs other shops where even doing some spiderman test masks. As for the greengoblin,we did a test make up that looked real cool with fangs.Sam Rami said he didnt want it to look like a halloween costume about the goblin, isnt that what spiderman pretty much is?We also did a suit that lit up with led lights on the greengoblin for a night flight, looked real cool but nobody will ever see it.Too many sony and marvel guys had there hand in the cookie jar at the same time when we where working on the movie. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"blink.gif\" />
