I have Multi-Purpose Krylon Interior-Exterior and a thing of Krylon Fusion for plastics, is the interior-Exterior safe to use on plastics as well?Is there honestly a difference between the two? I know obviously one says it's for plastics but the other says it's pretty much for everything. Thanks in advance.

Fusion is made for plastics, but I had a lot of trouble with it cracking on hockey masks. I called Krylon about it and talked to customer service. The guy basically said "Fusion is made for plastics, yes, but you're not supposed to top coat it with anything (including clearcoat). So after that...I stopped using it. Now I just use regular old Krylon spray paints and Bulldog adhesion promoter for the primer. If you want a flatter look with less gloss you can use the gray krylon primer on the plastic first. I hope this helps you out man.

It certainly does, and I appreciate your reply.I was just worried that using the multi-purpose on plastics would cause some kind of reaction, like melt it or something. But now I'm kind of worried about the fusion cracking/chipping. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /> I think it'll be okay though, I mostly just plan on displaying the mask. Thanks again.

There shouldn't be any chemical reaction between the paint and the blank. Just make sure you sand the surface real good and then clean it with alcohol and THEN primer it after it's dried. This way you'll get the best possible adhesion.

I really don't like Krylon Fusion. It doesn't seem to "bond" to plastic including abs any better than regular Krylon sprays from my experience and it always dries kinda sticky.

I never used primer when I used Fusion. Maybe I just got a dud.
