After litterally months of work, being screwed around by weather, paint issues and time my Vader is done! I gotta give a big thanks to jonl for this, he made it possible, and I was more then happy to paint him a helmet. Just wish the cock suckers at the post office hadn't broken it. I did mine in the ANH style, the screen accurate version, so in other words beat to crap
It's a rough lookin helmet, but exactly how I wanted it! This is it fresh outta the box<img src=\"http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u72/starwarsbuilds/sfvh1.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />After sanding, trimming, light bondo, primer, the base coat of black, and a wet sand<img src=\"http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u72/starwarsbuilds/sfvh4.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />The dome with I think the 3rd coat of black, and the face plate with it's second coat of chrome. Both were wet sanded probably half a dozen times total<img src=\"http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u72/starwarsbuilds/sfvh2.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />The first coat of sealer on the dome, after a wet sand, and the face plate with the black sections hand painted in, also wet sanded. It sat like this for a good month while the weather was brutal.<img src=\"http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u72/starwarsbuilds/sfvh3.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />And finally, finished! Well, minus the lenses, I still need a pair. The face plate, 2 tone chrome and black, with weathering and scuffing. The black diamond is velcro to attach the dome<img src=\"http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u72/starwarsbuilds/sfvh5.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u72/starwarsbuilds/sfvh6.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u72/starwarsbuilds/sfvh7.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />
