A friend of mine is an unlicensed tattoo artist. He got a kit recently and has been going at it nearly every day on someone new. He really is getting better and better with each tattoo he does. For instance, he did this on a friend of ours last night. I left halfway through to grab some food, and when I came back I couldnt believe how good it was for an amature. He also did the date on his arm. Any Darko fan will understand it. He will eventually turn it into a horror sleeve. All I have are crappy camera phone pics. I wish you were able to see all the detail in this thing.<img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v196/puckface/070309223724.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v196/puckface/Image-68283-286955-frank.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v196/puckface/070309223737.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v196/puckface/28064212.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v196/puckface/070309223659.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />

That's insane for an amateur. Speaking from a first hand experience, you want anything done by this dude, do it now. Once they start working in a shop and build up giant clientele friendship or not you'll be paying out the nose for it.

Thanks guys. I will relay him the compliments. And Kyle, you're completely right. While I was getting my newest tattoo, the Halloween II cover, my tattoo artist said the typical tattoo artists rate is around 100 per hour, so this tattoo could have easily been over a couple hundred, and my buddy didnt even charge close to that. Here is some more of his work...<img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v196/puckface/l_09d3ad2d2242c86f64e42fc81e3ef34d.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v196/puckface/l_7790c61ee27c4c58923619955b0701d2.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v196/puckface/l_a3dddd906cb349e2957ac6c4dc3ff463.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v196/puckface/l_abec3a546e844c4b908532084836ec95.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v196/puckface/l_ed5a6371511a4da78dc75f6838b7a0bd.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v196/puckface/l_7c43214ddbb24a65bf29d7140b114f26.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v196/puckface/l_00bda014af5f9156a6171757c727fba3.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />

He's pretty darn good for still being fresh talent and tattooing at home. If he is going to stay tattooing at of his house or wherever he should invest in an autoclave. You need to be careful with the cleanliness of that stuff but im sure you know. I do have alot of ink myself but have always been skeptical to let friends tatt me., but this guy has real potential. -Jared

Check out some of the work Ive done: www.myspace.com/nitemares1031 Looks pretty good, however...the whole out of the house tattoo thing is not too safe. He should seriously seek an apprenticeship before he teaches himself bad habits.
