Hey everyone... just thought I'd quickly announce my website overhaul. I'm trying to go more of a structured & formal look. Felt that my last page was a bit amateurish. I'll be making additional changes in the future but I just thought I'd show you the new main page (additional changes will be made to the main page as well... you'll see.) Hit me with some feedback with any ideas or recommendations! I'd love to hear what you all think!<a href=\"http://www.knifegloves.com\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.knifegloves.com</a>

It definately looks professional. I'd maybe not put as much info on one page or not put two columns on the page, but thats just me. I'm by no means an expert on web page design or much else computer-related. It makes me want to order a couple of your gloves more.

The new website looks great. That music that plays when you go to the site is a little is cool but, the volume is a bit low. I have my speakers turned up all the way and I can't really hear it to well. Also, a cool background graphic like for example....a boiler room or a basment type picture with flickering orange/red glow to it......or maybe a workbench graphic with a fire burning sound effect.Just suggestions. I don't know crap about building a website so it don't know if that stuff is difficult to do but, that's just my two cents.

I'm figuring it out a bit but the more complicated effects like flash and such are harder to pull off and I'd need additional help to do that. As for the background music, it's supposed to be somewhat quiet. I only want it for a subtle effect because I HATE websites that have loud music blaring whenever you visit it. But if it REALLY sounds too quiet, check your internal volume settings. In the bottom right corner near your clock, there should be a little image of a speaker. Right-click it and open the volume controls and make sure all of your sliders are to the top. Because the music on my computer is clearly audible.

I think it look way better now <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> Definitely more professional. I will give you some tips though and I want you to know that it's my third year in computer science and I have some experience in web design and web programming with databases, PHP, SQL, Javascript, HTML...The fact that you have kind of two columns is a little confusing (don't get me wrong, I understand your layout). The thing is that your left column seem to be some kind of "menu" at least the top part and the title is not deferent than the rest of the areas.... The zones (choose your location, Glover order, What's new...) seems to have all the same "size"... witch add to the "confusion" at the first sight you can't differ the "menu" and the rest.My advice would be to resize the left column a little smaller than the rest. That way we can have a better look at the main content (what new, youtube vid) and we will have a better impression of a "menu"I want to say that I REALLY love your update on gloves.... That's a plus to your site for sure. The color scheme is very well chosen nothing aggressive here. Keep your colors that way. Anyway I think the site is way much better and it makes me stay longer. Like I said the glove update area is the best idea I've seen for a glove maker.Just a question by the way... do you have your own server?

There's always some plugin and browser that will read this differently... For example, IE plays it with a quicktime bar at the end of the page... If you don't want that kind of graphic in your page its better not putting music... Also, in Google Chrome the music just didn't start <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"confused.gif\" /> It's a recent browser so it might have some difficulties... Also, it loads up the .mp3 to the client computer... which might take some time... on the client and on the server...That's just my opinion on background music.

I removed the control bar from the bottom of the page but I kind of wanted it there in case people wanted to turn off the music. It's all a work in progress..
