OK guys, the 1st review is in.....sounds like this is gonna be just what we've all come to expect; a big ol' steaming pile of (PG-13?) twilight fan club-marketed crap! Read away....aintitcoolnews nightmare on elm street review

Ouch. That's pretty much EXACTLY what I was afraid of. I have no doubt about Earle being Freddy, it's everyone else and that how the moder horror movies tend to be the same poorly acted films with different characters. At least there's time for re-shoots and more editing. Only time will tell,.-Joseph

So don't see it. the guy who wrote the review is complaining that there wasn't a "butt shot". Null and void imo.

Sounds like another classic example of why hollywood shouldn't do remakes. I will see it then form my own opinion. I guess a horrid remake is better than being forgotten!

For crying out loud, the film comes out in 6 months so drawing a conclusion on a rough cut edition is pointless. The guy complains about no butt shot.... complains that the actors are 29 years old (the oldest is 25 in real life).... etc. I'm sure the film needs work.... duh... it's been less than 4 months in post-production.. what else do you expect at this stage?

I personally thought it was good review written by a fan. I mean really did we expect to care about the "teens". No. They are there to be killed. If they are not killed in a bloodbath or if the film misses its mark on true horror than it probably is a let down. Let's face it, its Michael Bay. Its gonna suck.

Don't get me wrong....I'm still mildly excited to see what they do, but I'm just sick of getting all excited about something and then being disappointed over and over again. It's just painful to watch your beloved characters and stories get gang raped by hollywood suits every time they do a "reboot" "reimagining" or whatever they want to call these things. I was really excited to see they were "rebooting" the Conan movies.......then I read what the plans were. I had read they were going to follow some of the old Robert E Howard stories.....but not now. They're going to go with the "Conan's village was raided and destroyed when he was a boy" approach. A$$!!! NEVER HAPPENNED IN THE BOOKS OR COMICS!! I just wish Hollywood would realize that the properties are valuable because the source material is great enough to have a fan base to last decades!
