I wanna see something scary. I mean, REALLY scary. Not this crap like Drag me to Hell or Paranormal Activity (I think that was supposed to be a demon?) Something more along the lines of the first Evil Dead. You know....middle of the woods....middle of the night. Demon posession. Where's the creativity with Hollywood these days? They should make something that would scare the socks off of people. One of those nail biting edge of your seat kinda movies. Not this watered down PG-13 crap they're making now. What would you guys like to see? I for one am tired of seeing the slashers remade and all of these gore flicks. Maybe I'm living in the 70's and 80's but hey can't a guy dream?

There are no original ideas anymore. You said yourself you wanna see something along the lines of Evil Dead, yet if they made it, you'd say well that was just like Evil Dead! lolPersonally, I haven't had so much adrenaline ever as watching Drag Me To Hell!

I liked drag me to hell quite a bit, I actually went out and bought the blu ray, which I don't do for too many movies these days, I think thats about as good as there's been in quite a long while along the lines of Evil Dead/ Demons, etc, especially mainstream

Sorry... I must say that I found Paranormal Activity to be very scary. Probably because it plays on my personal fear of something evil that is unseen yet able to cause physical harm, makes weird noises, etc. Like the Blair Witch Project... scared the crap out of me. Why would anyone hear little children's voices in the dead of night right outside of your tent??? What in the world is out there that is making noises like that??? I get terrified by crap like that.

DMTH was one of my more recent favorite horror films. But it's very hard for an industry to come up with new ideas when as time goes one new ideas become very hard to come up with. Most ideas have already been done so it's hard to think outside the box in the horror genre because people become immune to traditional horror so the bar has to be raised. I thought Paranormal Activity was a breath of fresh air. Hadn't seen a horror film like that since Blair Witch and I found it to be very effective. The audience reactions were largely freaked out ones. Sure, some here and there don't get scared much but most people do and it worked. Thus it was a huge success (most profitable film of ALL TIME). But it's good that truely scary movies don't come along so frequently... because it'd become boring and stale. So, by having time pass between true horror flicks, it allows us to forget what true horror feels like and when we re-experience it... it's all that much better.
