for doing washes that make almost anything look more natural , just get a sponge and water down some paint . once you have it on whatever yo uare wanting to weather , leave it on for a couple minutes and then dab it off lightly . always good to start with light coats and if you want it darker then add more .

Washes always work great as well as different color spray paints misted form a few feet away. FOr gloves or other clothing I just mix up some dirt and water in a bucket and let the article soak for different amounts of time depending on how weathered you want it. Hope all that makes sense and good luck <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/msmile128.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":fred:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"msmile128.gif\" /> <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/msmile120.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":toxic:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"msmile120.gif\" />

When I weather clothes, I simply douse them in mud, let them dry, spray them off, then wash in just water. That almost immediately removes the 'new' look and adds realistic stains. Then you can add other blemishes with water color paints, and any other method. With water colors you can not wash the clothes of course. This is how I did it when I did indi films, it's just easier and looks more realistic.
