Very Strange Lately

The reason that I'm posting this is because I just checked my number of posts and it was at 666. Normally I'm not superstitious, but I don't like that number at all for obvious reasons I'm sure. The weird thing is...it's been popping up a LOT in my life lately and it's kind of had me freaked out. From the gallons of gas that I pumped the other day to top off my tank, to the change that I got from Chick-Fil-A for breakfast, 666 seems to constantly be showing up in the things that I do. Not sure if anyone else has went through this phase before and truthfully, I only posted this topic because I wanted to get rid of that post number and then after thinking about it, I thought maybe this might be a cool little thread if anyone has had this happen to them. I don't know, maybe the same numbers pop up for me all the time but I never notice it because they aren't meant to stand out like this one does, but like I said before, I just found it almost disturbing, because while I may have only listed a couple of examples, the fact of the matter is, I've lost count of how many times that number has shown itself in my life within the past couple of months or so. "666" isn't necessarily the number of the beast. Ever heard that it could have actually been "616"? Not sure how much water that statement holds, but I hear it could have been an error in translation from ancient texts.Regardless of that, perhaps you're trying to place bad omens where they are not intended. Why are you not fond of the number "6" in general? I think it's a very nice number...One of my favorites. In fact, it brings me luck and I manage to catch it (along with 3) a lot in my day to day life. I catch 3:33 on clocks, order $3.33 in product, or generally find "33" everywhere throughout my day...My lady finds "22" in the same fashion. Perhaps those are just "our numbers" or something - vibrations that we respond to on some mental level, or an even higher consciousness.I have a friend who used to see black birds all the time...She became obsessed with believing that they were an omen of impending death or doom around her. After a few months of soaking in her own misery, she finally realized that - although her appreciation and understanding of abstract symbolism in life was very useful, perhaps she had very incorrectly interpreted the meaning of the birds. Almost a year later, she now feels happy when black birds appear around her and understands that such nonsensical "evil" or "omen" thoughts could be ill-conceived based on others' perceptions of an animal, color, or religious belief.In short, "It is whatever you want it to be."Cheers,Ryan

I see the number 311 everywhere. I'm member number 311 here on NIGHTOWL and the last 3-digits on my library card is 311. I see it on gas signs, video games, etc etc.

WEll somehow my internal clock knows when the time is 9:11 be it am or pm as it seems my eyes will hit the clock one time a day when it is exactlly 9:11. I heard this is pretty common actually. My daughter was born on 9/11 could be linked? I think the numbers do mean something to you and you just notice them more when they come around. kinda of like a car if you buy a new car you start to see your car alot more then before.The number 8 is also around me alot or is it that I just notice it more think about it, my son was born 8/8/08 2 days after a tornado ripped thru our complex and displaced us to my mother inlaws home while the city cleaned up the mess. Every since I call little kenny the tornado baby so the number 8 will always stand out too me right? I dont think anything bad will happen to you Joseph if it makes you feel better my odometer is almost at 166,660 OR did I just freak you out by mentioning that <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/msmile95.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":ghost:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"msmile95.gif\" /> maybe it was ment to be? kidding
