SO, i've been into horror movies my entire life just about, saw ANOES at age 5-6 ish, and from there i've gone onto loving the genre and collecting whatever i can get my hands onto.....when i first decided to watch the halloween movies i bought the box set *from japaneese co. on ebay* and i've watched everyone......except part 3. i've always heard that the movie was a waste of film and since it had NOTHING to do with good ol mikey whitey *except for a HALLOWEEN commercial in the bar, and jamie lee curtis as the operator*. so i kinda avoided this movie. *i did the same with friday the 13th part 5...yes i was anti-roy......that is until i saw it and then i FELL IN LOVE with part 5* so since i had previous experience with avoiding movies and since i ended up loving the film, i am watching Halloween 3: Season of the Witch for the first time as i type this. SOOOOO allow me to type out my feelings of this movie.....i have wasted the past hour and some odd minutes watching the absolute worst movie i've ever seen in my life...this film sits right next to "The Ugly" *a FREE wal-mart dvd when you bought Saw 2* im sorry i know there are some lovers of this film, and if you can explain to me what you like; then perhaps i can get a deeper understanding of this movie. but as for right now.......complete DOO DOO hahaha its like if freddy were to run through the woods looking for the blair witch and it sold as Nightmare 18th: The Dream Witch....ok well not exactly, that sounds pretty awesome haha so thanks for allowing me to vent and rant a little bit, and again if anyone can explain to me what they like about the film then perhaps i can find a deeper liking/understanding of it :-D

This sounds like a post intended to start a bashing session...All I am going to tell you is that its been out long enough and you have probably read plenty of other reviews on it so you watched it knowing far too well what you were getting into..sorry you didn't like it....The End.

its an eerie story about a psycho mask/toy maker,
trying to kill million of kids on halloween night.
the effects are classic, soundtrack is creepy,
has that great october feel to it.
ive always felt its a must for any fan of what
halloween can be about. and no, i dont mean mikey,
    i mean the actual day.

course this is just all my opinion.

Totally agree with Steve on this one . H3 was an awesome movie for what it was . I don't really look at it as a " Halloween " movie when I watch it but it has that Oct. vibe to it which I like alot and the music is down right creepy . I think the movie would've done much better if it wasn't tagged in the Halloween series but just as a horror movie of it's own .

in regards to premature inker: no, notta bashing session, in fact its just the opposite, hence why i asked why some praised the movie.

and i agree with you steve on the soundtrack was awesome and it had an amazingly eerie feel to it. i did enjoy cochran a WHOLE bunch haha

and to mike, i think thats most of the reason i was so put off to it, if it was called JUST season of the witch, i would have enjoyed it in all its 80's horror cheese, HOWEVER since it was preceded by the title Halloween 3, it leaves a sour taste in my mouth. so OVERALL i give it a C- *without reading the Halloween, part of the title* but as a "Halloween" sequel....definitely a failed attempt at creating an empire IMO

Halloween 3 rocks. One of my favorite movies of all time. It doesn't need that guy with the knife in it for it to be good. I think it would've been better off just as season of the witch with no halloween tie in but oh well. After NOES part 3 I found those to be unwatchable and embarrassing. I even tried to watch them hammered with some friends one time and we all just kinda laughed and popped in something else.

Halloween 3 is a great movie. To be honest it's one of my favorites in the series. I agree with the others, It should have just been called Season of the Witch instead of Halloween 3. It's a great horror story about the Holiday itself. The soundtrack as others have stated is very eerie.
