Director and warming alarmist James Cameron on Avatar, his ludicrous environmental movie:

"I wanted to make an environmentally conscious mainstream movie.... It will be a dying world if we don’t make some fundamental changes about how we view ourselves and how we view wealth...We’re going to have to live with less."

Not that I rave about his work, but if you never watched any of his movies after T2, then how do you know what his last good film actually was?

I don't think there's been a James Cameron movie I didn't like. Love pretty much every one of them. But yeah, he may be a hypocrite.... and he seems like he can be a real turd.

Oh I've seen his later stuff.lol
    Not my taste that's all.
Unbearable that I can't watch till the end.

And no I didn't see Avatar.
Sorry I don't like the character design.I don't like the concept. The story has been done over and over before by others. I don't go see a movie just because it costs millions. Confusedweat:

The true genius of Cameron is that he knew he could make a CGI blockbuster driven by green-activist ideals in the midst of a green revolution and enhance his own pocketbook by billions.

Cameron isn't a hypocrite. He never really meant anything he said about "living with less." He said it merely to help promote his film as an "ecological blockbuster."

I never saw Avatar myself. I've got friends who went nuts over it, and even my Dad raves about it, but I've never seen it. I felt really bad, because my Dad kept trying to get me to watch it, and even left a copy of the blu-ray here for us to check out, and all it did was collect dust. I'm not a fan of the almost full to totally full CGI movies at all.

In my case it's probably because I'm not from the US or Europe. Confusedmile:
5 out of 5 of my friends who've seen it said don't bother
