Things I Noticed

Over the last couple of days I watched some parts of a couple of movies on two different channels. On Turner classic movies TCM i watched the Boogens. and on the Movie Channel I watched some of Road Kill. I noticed that on TCM the movie was unedited and it showed nudity. While on Road Kill it made no sense. Did the truck run on human blood. Have you noticed anything similar on other channels or with other movies?

what I'd like to know is this..

why on regular cable TV do they typically show a man's bare butt, but they will not show a girl's butt or even a girl wearing a thong? I can't tell you how many comedies I've seen where a guy's hiney was shown but they are so strict when it comes to anything vividly revealing the female body.

talk about double standards..

yea not sure why we can see a mans but not a chicks on cable.I rented road Kill awhile back when it came out on dvd and from what i got fro it, the truck ran on blood.Cool flick but kinda dragged on and had some bad actting in parts......

I think it is because no one will complain about a mans butt because, seriously, no one wants to see that, but when it comes to a woman's keester it makes us all crazy and we love it. Does it make sense....hell no. So it comes down to someone's twisted view of what we should and should not see. I don't know, I can't explain it. LOL.

I'll top your irony.

I think it's hilarious that on those plastic surgery shows they'll show us all the bloody carnage when performing a breast enhancement surgery. They'll show the slicing of the flesh, the blood pouring out, the removal of fat tissue, all the horrid disgusting stuff associated with the process.........however, the network will blur the untouched human nipple in the exact same camera shot, as if THAT is more offensive than any of the bloody mess surrounding it.

actually i saw breasts and nipples on boogens and a truck running on blood is really ridiculous.
