Hmm, i don't see a problem with it. Afterall it is in the OFF TOPIC section of the board. Wouldnt be any different if all those posts were relating to a "whitey" mask or would it?

No, not at all. I don'y have a problem with it. People are free to speak about whatever they want. I happen to love Friday the 13th films.

It just used to be a little more diverse - in terms of content - in this forum.

I'm not complaining...I just find it an interesting change.

NIGHTOWL has always been the best board for Jason props, being that Justin was the "king of Jason masks" as far as latex goes.

Yea, I see that sometimes when I am on here and other boards. It's like when it rains it pours. I think someone posts something cool and it kind of gives others ideas about something else to post from the same flick.
On mm.net, in the Jason Freddy leatherface etc. section, it sometimes seems like a Ghostface Scream board because pt 4 is coming out soon.

    Cool observation though stain.

as said above, justin has probably produced more jason pieces than any other mask maker. and if I'm not mistaken, if it werent for justin creating part 7 undermasks in the beginning of his career, this board may not even exist.

I can understand it because as others said above,Justin has produced a lot of Jason pieces and some of the very best.Yes its more about Jason here but their is diversity and I like seeing all the cool F13 stuff.

I know it's kinda already been mentioned above at least three times, but I'm taking it further:

The entire online Jason replica-collecting hobby would not have existed in its current form had it not been for Justin's recast-from-original part 7 hockey masks back in the late 90s, and his help in getting Shayne Snyder/GOHS off the ground. Justin and Shayne began the whole internet craze for these things, and it just grew by leaps and bounds from year to year, inspiring all kinds of other artists to get involved (and many recasters, too...), and netting in hundreds of new fans from related websites like the old F13films.com.

I think for that reason alone, this board will forever be conceived as more friendly to the topic of Jason than any other slasher, monster, or film/series. Hell, even the huge collector circuit that moves in and out of the HMA nowadays began with hockey masks and Jason heads amongst the very first offerings. This stuff is seriously the backbone of our very community.

    Cheers,

    Ryan

Friday the 13th was what brought me to the NIGHTOWL site i've been a big fan since i were a kid I saw on ebay a part 7 mask which at the time i didnt collect masks just figures which i thought were the bees knees. so i emailed the seller who then told me the waiting time for the mask. I then began searching for masks and up came the NIGHTOWL site and there it was the be all and end all (in my opinion) part 7 mask vengenece!!!! this thing totally blew the other mask i'd seen out of the water they werent even in the same league and for only a £30 more i had to have it. And thats how it began and now its an obsession justins work is awesome and for that i would like to thank him for his amazing talent and excellent site which has me checking daily for updates. Thank you justin and to all the great members on here who ive dealt with

Yeah, this is one of the reasons I rarely post here now. It's not like it's anything new though, I think it's been going on for over a year now if not longer. I am a big fan of the F13 movies (well, the Paramount ones anyway) but when you see masks of the same freaking character day in and day out for years you eventually start to loose interest.
I would like to see some more diversity on this forum. We've seen hundreds of Freddy, Jason, Leatherface and Mikey masks this year but how many Christopher Lee Draculas, Black Lagoon Creatures, Godzillas or Norman Bates masks have we seen this year? Can't be to many, if any at all.
