Collectormania Uk 2011

Hey guys. Today I drove for 3 hours with my girlfriend up to Milton Keynes to go to the Collectormania convention. I went to see Robert Englund and I was not disapointed. I am 32 now, but I have been a huge Freddy fan since 1984 and this was the first time I have ever met Robert. What can I say? He is a legend and he is so kind, what a truly great guy.

I tried to give him a metal Freddy glove as a gift (Chris Gratner from Razorgloves Boiler room creation glove) but Robert said he could not take it back through customs so I did a good deed and I gave it to a friendly young fan who was in a wheel chair - I hope he enjoys the glove!

Robert signed a picture for me, plus my book Hollywood Monster and one of my Freddy gloves.

During the photo shoot I lent Robert my glove to use for the photos and Robert pointed at me and said, "This guy can have whatever he wants!" Hahaha. So every person who had their photo taken with Robert - it was my glove on his hand the whole time and that gave me a real buzz,LOL.

He spent a lot of time with me and also he told me what colour the part 1 hat was! AND he told me that the part 1 glove never went missing - his agent has had it since 1984 on display! I will post the video on you tube so you can hear what Robert said to me.

Robert really liked my DCE part 2 hat. He said it is a really good hat and the right size etc, which was great!

I got to meet a fellow forum member there which was great. thechief69 aka Ian. It was great to meet you there buddy! Daz and Rich it was a shame you guys weren't there!

yeah hes a total legend mate he was like that with me last year when i met him inlondon!he used my glove aswell for the whole photo shoot!i feel the same way mate im 33 and it made me feel like a kid again!! such a legend and so good with the fans!

Hah....I really enjoyed watching this....considering I've never met Mr. Englund, it might be a preview for me, when I eventually do, this summer.

I also LOOOOVED seeing Robert Patrick in the background. It's so interesting hearing his voice talk about Schwarzenegger!

Ok, so Robert said to me the part 1 hat was BROWN.

And that he gave the original part 1 glove to his agent in 1985 and that his agent still has it.

That should clear up a couple of things around here,LOL.

Robert has a habbit of changing things, if you asked him last year he would have told a differnt version about the glove, why now does he choose to say his agent has it after all these years ??
