I just read in the Plain Dealer here a super flu called the avian flu is supposed to hit us killing over 150 million in a best case scenario. Apparantly this flu happens 3 times in every century and the last one to hit was in 1968 and only 635,000 people. President Bush said he is ready and willing to quarantine effected areas.

Does anyone know if this is actually true or not?

The news likes to make things more serious than everything really is. They just love scaring everybody and making them mad. I never believe a lot of the stuff they say.

Give me a break! Anything the government throws at us we are bound to believe it keeps us at our tip top shape and toes ready for anything. This is pointless and there is no need for concern. Just remember the West Nile Virus, supposedly how it was suppose to wipe out a good % of the population and SAR\'S as well. Every now and then they do this to get our attention just look at some of the responses to the thread already. My advice is too not think or give a shit what you read or here on the news. We as the public don\'t know nothing and the government gives us the run around on everything. *We break your locally favorite telivised show just to tell you we are at code orange! That\'s right folks code orange be ready for attacks on the US* <------ I am sick of hearing this and that and the other things that happen. Believe me I love the United States, the government, the people that have died for the country as well as the troops over in Iraq. I just am not, I refuse to live my life worrying about every little damn thing the news or media says. Sorry for the rant fellas just had to get that off my mind.
