Anyone seen any new, original horror movies lately? Everything I\'ve attempted to watch was not very good. Bad, acting, bad story, bad effects, copying alot form other movies. I want to see something new. So can anyone reccomend any good movies?

Good thread. We\'ve been renting (my wife lets me get new horror films all the time, bless her heart) a ton of horror movies lately and have been terribly disappointed...often stopping the movie before it\'s over or falling asleep. I\'m anxious for recommendations as well.

The best ones I\'ve seen recently were Venom and All Souls Day. I\'m not saying they\'re good, but they have been the best. Venom had a cool-looking villain and I personally have never seen a movie with a set-up like it. But it had a whole Scream-genre horror type vibe to it. All Souls Day had Jeffrey Combs in it, dissapointly short though, and some cool zombie make-up. But the main guy annoyed me and there was just somehting off about the movie.

i enjoyed undead until the ending...the ending just ruined the entire movie for me. Dog Soldiers is a great werewolf film...i think alot of us enjoy that one here. Recently i watched Evil Breed...not a bad little flick at all...very bloody, very gory. Plus...it has Jenna Jameson, Chasey Lain, and another porn star who i cannot remember off the top of my head...

I saw the remake of The Fog the other day.. very disappointed. Maybe because every time I see that guy I think of Superman....
Other than that I haven\'t seen anything new. I passed by one with Andrew Bryniarski in it, can\'t remember the name off hand though..

Has anyone seen Santa\'s Slay yet? It may not be for everyone, but I laughed my ass off at that one! I also saw one called The Dark Hours...pretty good! It\'ll have you talking about it afterward if you get into it. Another really good one you guys should watch if you haven\'t is The Descent. If you watch any of these I listed, it should be that one. Oh and if you\'re a fan of the Re-Animator movies, I just saw Beyond Re-Animator and I thought it ruled! I didn\'t know they made a third movie until recently...don\'t know how that one slipped by me. :ermm:

I have to agree with Tommy and hellbound81, Dog Soldiers is a great werewolf movie. I\'ts one of the best werewolf movies I\'ve seen in a long time.

And Evil Breed is alright, definitely worth a watch. Oh and I think the other porn star was Ginger Lynn Allen Tongue.

I haven\'t really seen a lot of good horror movies lately... well besides Asian horror movies.

    Take care.
