Quote:I\'m just saying if he sculpted in WED, he doesn\'t want to use WED for a dividing wall, he wants oil. So the 2 clays don\'t mix. Makes it alot easier to take the wall down, touch the sculpture up if it needs it, and make the 2nd part of the mold.

with the coat of crystal clear, they wont mix...works great if that\'s all you have on hand.

The WED sculpture and WED dividing wall did mix in many places. I didn\'t use a whole helluva lot of crystal clear in order to avoid plaster runoff and this aided it. Regardless, it was a miserable failure molding the back. The impression was okay, but the dividing wall plaster had too many air pockets when I removed the wall. I\'ve never worked with plaster before and it was very apparent. I learned a lot doing so and decided that I\'d rather sacrifice a little defacing of the back half of the sculpture and tear off the plaster and do it over, rather than have the horrible seal. I wasn\'t risking the front half on a shotty mold. Damage was minimal. Live and learn.
