Question For Those That Read The Noes Remake Script

I don't want to read the script because I don't want to spoil everything. However, there's one thing I'd like to know. If Fred was a child molester rather than a child killer before being burned, how does he get the glove? Does he make it before his death and, if so, for what purpose? I heard something about it being a gardening tool or something but that's ridiculous because the design is way too evil looking for that. Thanks.

It's possibly a gardening tool that he used but it probably wasn't the ONLY reason for making the glove. Maybe he made the glove as a torture weapon primarily but also used it in his work?
