Go see the movie, the movie is a lot of fun to see regardless. I mean, this is after all, Freddy, back on the big screen, in one form or another. As for the effects, i agree with what has been said, and i realllly wish they would have scrapped some of the heavy CG in place of some good practical effects. There is such a more visceral, real, gritty reaction to practical effects. Some scenes in this movie would have certainly benefited from it, one example which really stands out to me, is the the wall scene. His voice, as you've noted did sound different in all the trailers. In my opinion, they remedied that somewhat in the final version, as i feel it was a bit more cohesive in the final film, although there are instances where it does sound minutely different. The biggest let down for me was the mechanized sound to it, but, eh, it is what it is. The film is a lot of fun though. Go enjoy it for what it is.<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndNo. Im sure you didn't unpset anyone. i DID edit my posts in favor of keeping this in the positive, because the fact is, it's hard to go on one opinion or another. I really wish I knew someone who operated a theatre so I could see it tonight, but I just dont know anyone :-( golly gee willikers lolRich

I'm going to say that even if this is a sub-par remake, it's going to be infinitely better than FvsJ and that will be just fine with me. Heaven help us if Freddy's last movie on the big screen was FvsJ.

I just got home from the movie, overall it was OK. The acting of the teens was a little over the top and felt kind of lifetime-ish to me. Freddy was great though, he's really really dark and sinister in this movie and they REALLY push the pedophile thing in it. I dug it, and don't worry it's better than FVJ. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Tongue\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" />Oh yeah and there is NO shortage of Freddy in this one, he is in it literally beginning to end.
