    Hello all,

Well I am in the process of making my second glove, a part 5 and well, the finger rings are proving more difficult this time. I am having a hard time keeping them in place while soldering them. Any suggestions? I am sure I can do it, but the method I have, the put it in place and hope it stays there just isnt\'t to effecient.

    thanks,
    carter

Clamp one in place while doing another. You can do so with a pair of locking needle nose pliers (visegrips), or a small clamp Wink

Aslo, a vice would come in handy Wink

i use them to cut some rings and bend them outta copper pipe and i bend them out on a big socket (for you ratchet set) a big one and also people use dowel but it burns so i use some metal deep sockets and it will sit inside the finger tips and holds the finger (ring0 brace and if its not big enough use a bigger socket it works excellent give it atry also after you solde it on cool off the siocket (i learned my lesson) get creative otherwise get someone to hold it on with some needle-nose pliers or vise-grips with some metal pieces welded to them to hold the smaller pieces (get your mind outta the gutter) and you can just tack those on id just use some deep sockets Smile
