Yeah, I think that is as close as it gets. If you look at the octagon in the cap, the sides and top match up in width to the straps perfectly, so extrapolating from that dimension you can prety much figure out the size of the angles. It looks like Dean did that. I\'m still on the fence as to whether there is a hole for a third (top) rivet on the octagon (with the rivet missing). It really does look like it in the boat scene. Maybe it had fallen off by this point and no one noticed and it made it to film?
