You can't "reason with" a favorite choice simply because it's more of an emotional one, rather than being grounded in rational decisions or whatever. I'm just glad a Jason fan actually liked JGTH enough to prefer it over others in the series, even though it's my personal least favorite. It felt more like a Nightmare on Elm Street kinda' thing to me, stretching disbeleif to infinity and beyond. I'm not a huge nightmare fan, beyond the first couple, so I guess that kinda' explains my feelings towards it.. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" /><!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndThat was very well said, I like it! It's just one of those things at the end of the day, if there was no audience for any of these movies they wouldn't be out there. I never watched any of these films because of their proximity to reality but rather as a form of entertainment, others might think different. Hell it would be pretty boring if we all liked the same thing for the same reasons and as horror fans especially because we all love to disagree, lol.I guess I am just more partial to the evolution of slimy worm > woman's crotch > hockeymasked killer > magic dagger to the heart > killer in hell storyline rather than the kidnap victim > hide in secret underground lair > turn floodlights on to chase victims > die and get thrown back in the lake storyline. It's all in good fun and I just love reading other peoples views and opinions on these films that I grew up to love.
