For 2006 there are 3 new sabers, Luke\'s from ROTJ (brighter blade and better sound), Obi-Wans from ROTS, and a Darth Maul WOOOOHOOOOO!!! Retail on the Maul is $299, Here\'s a pic

here is a picture of a test blade compared to a MR

Anyone interested there is a thread at the replica prop forum with info

Yeah but the light is beaming through the holes. aka, not accurate aka sucks and besides, that pic is horribly biased.

Here\'s how bright they really are when the batteries aren\'t half dead like the one in that pic...

Anyway, I own Vader\'s, Anakin\'s and Luke\'s ROTJ sabres and they own.

Just for the record, The Anakin in person is a very bright and vibrant blue color blade, in pictures however, it seems to be an almost white blade with a blue glow around it...

Also, the picture above has a photoshopped lense flare at the base, which Walboro should have mentioned, just so nobody was mislead.. And I agree with what he said "they own" Smile

Quote:yes, these sabers are awesome.... I would suggest the Anakin ROTS as it is said to be the best, and I agree... I also own the Vader ESB version.. The blade looks better in pics than in person, as its just a deep red... I hear the Luke ROTJ V2 is the brightest...

OMG can you breathe in those pictures? Breathe out!!!
    Tongue

I had no idea that such cool sabers even existed until this thread...I\'m not a Star Wars megazoid, but I can appreciate good products. Our 10 year old has a few of the kids type sabers...I\'ll have to show him this thread.

Yes, I did forget to mention the lense flare.

However I haven\'t actually photoshopped the blade itself.

Why in the high holy hell have my posts gone down to 3? I\'ve been here for years.

walboro..i\'m not sure what you\'re refering to. That picture I posted was obviously a test picture..The light coming thru the hilt has nothing to do with the brightness of the blade.

The hyperdyne blade and sound kit will be the best ever and make the MR saber look like a toy.

If anyone knows the history of replica lightsabers, you\'d know that Master replicas basically stole that EL and LED design to suit their own needs. Parks and Lighttech was using that design years before MR ever tried

The more vibrant and bright the blade the better. Also the hyperdyne as pictured is the PROTOTYPE, the actual conversion kits should block out the light beeming through the base holes. MR blades are cool, but better has and will be made....
