My parents always took me to the drive-in to see horror movies when I was little. My first horror film was "Don\'t Look In The Basement" in 1973.

My first was "The Shining". I remember watching it on HBO with my family as a child ( I must have been 7 )and when it got to the bathroom scene my sister covered my eyes. I kept asking "Why can\'t I see this, why can\'t I see this??". I saw that it was coming back on after midnight and snuck into the den to watch it again, uninterupted. I think my eyeballs were mere inches from the screen. I had nightmares for years but , thats where it all starts.....

It\'s hard to say really, I think it was Halloween when it hit HBO for the first time. But the one that left a mark was Friday the 13th p3 on its first HBO run. My dad was very instrumental in letting me watch these movies and any movie really. He took a friend and me to see the orginal NOES playing at the drive-in with an italian zombie flick back in \'84.

Quote:My first was pieces. I remember being 4 or so and thinking the end was so incredibly cheesey.Do you still think the ending is cheesey now that you are older?I saw it when it was first released. I couldn\'t believe that they couldn\'t catch the killer, when it was so obvious who it would be. Also, all those murders could not have taken place in one spot (a college campus) and no one gets apprehended for them until all of those killings. I have Pieces in a Horror Film compilation that I have. It\'s alright.
