A simple one: Although I know it probably comes down to a preference thing, do most of you guys paint the inside of your hockey masks as well? I did it in the past with the first batch I did, but what a pain. Having to mask each side when your spraying, not getting the tape all the way down and having overspray, etc. I fifnished the base coating of Krylon on the fronts last night, but not sure if I want to even attempt to paint the inside, especially if I have to spray them. Anyone ever paint the inside with a brush and then clear coat it? What do you guys usually like to do? Any tips would be appreciated.

well if your sprayin it and using the same bases color then there no need to mask the side u let one side dry then base the other..as far as details on painting i dont spray so its all hand done and when i do paint the back just gotta be carefull

I prefer to paint both sides of a Hockey Mask, it does take twice as long to finish a mask but the end result is a more accurate looking Hockey Mask and a higher quality Hockey Mask imo.Jeff-

I like the inside painted, i have seen hockey masks made by Mike, Jeff and Dean that have all been painted inside and they look good, the hockey masks in my personal collection are all left blank.I dont do it unless someone asks as it can be a bit of a pain and sure it takes a little longer, just make sure you use a good make of sealent, you dont want a cheap one that might get tacky when it gets hot and stick to someones undermask!!The only down side i see is that if paint the inside and you want to sign and number your work you aint got no where to do it!
