How To Make Screen Caps?

This is for all you who capture stills from movies. Last night and this evneing I tryed watching Halloween on my room mates pc, then on the pc at work. I paused the movie where I wanted a picture and pressed the print screen button and it seemed to copy the image then when I would paste it into paint, it seemed to work, but than after I would save it and try to open back up the file, the file was all black. no picture. do I need speacial software? or am I just doing it wrong?

Try doing that same exact thing, and then hitting play on the DVD and go back to the screen. Then drag the image around on Paint and you will see why it doesnt work.It doesnt copy the picture, it will copy everything else. I have a program that works called InterVideo Win DVD or somethin... All you do is hit the "p" key on your keyboard, and it takes a screen cap.
