Can anyone please tell me what materials I need to use to make a production mold ? I was told many different things but they just dont make sense. I was told to use the exact same materials that I used to make the mold in the first place (ultra cal) but that doesn't make sense because then why wouldn't I just use the 2 piece mold ? I was also told to use polyurethane ? I dont even know what that is, or where I can get it ? wouldn't I need to use something more solid than ultra cal, something that will not wear down as easily ? thanks in advance. Jamie

okay.let's see if i can shed some light on this one. The whole purpose of a production mold is to have one solid mold instead of a two part mold. You don't have to worry about clamping the mold together. You also don't have to worry about having to trim down a seam line on every single mask you make. You use the master copy of the mask, after you have done all the seam trimming, filling, dremelling, etc...and make a one piece production mold of it...I would just use the same plaster you used for the 2 part mold, and maybe add some burlap in between coats to give it more durability...take care,Tommy

This is rather irrelevant but it could be helpful. Its how to make a two piece mold out of a clay sculpture. Its a three part series, I found it very informative.Part 1<a href=\"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDW1NKIfgQQ\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDW1NKIfgQQ</a>Part 2<a href=\"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23cKD5RWcR4\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23cKD5RWcR4</a>Part 3<a href=\"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJBaGL6M1V4\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJBaGL6M1V4</a>Nick
