I wanted to say Thanks Again Mike for this wonderful piece i was shock when i opened it i was like DAG THAT IS HUGE, This is his new 36'' different then others he made and yes this is a blank, i working on a X Cross handle just like the movie. Thanks! I'm glad it arrived. I hadn't heard from you about it.That's the pricing now.. I'm considering offering a blackened blade for just a little extra.. I figured folks would do that themselves, but I've noticed some folks dont want to mess with it. Especially, the ones with the handles on it. Plus the price of paint just to do a single blade is kinda' silly, but I could get some paint and get a bunch done for the same price. I considered true blackening but I'm hesitant to mess with the chemicals involved, plus they're pretty pricey for essentially a lesser effect.The blade itself is 14ga. Stainless Steel.. nice and heavy, but not designed to hold an edge on it, and I round/break the edges a bit to stop it from accidentally cutting anyone and prevent snagging too much on clothing, but if you look closely, there's a fake sharpened edge going around the tip and bottom edge. Just a surface thing though.. it's not "pinched" or anything.I love that holster you did.. is the machete supposed to ride that low in it though? I've been messing with one, but I wasn't sure how low the blade should ride in there. I'm approx 6'-3" in my typical workboots and think that thing would be sticking into the ground when I walk. Derek is like 6'-5" isn't he? (dunno if that includes boots though)..
