An Ideal Release Date for Fright Night 3D
Source: Shock Till You Drop June 21, 2010

The remake of Fright Night that rolls cameras soon for Dreamworks has landed an October 7, 2011 release date.

Just in time for the Halloween season. Could it be? Studios are catching on that October is sometimes a good time to release a genre flick?

Yes, the redo is apparently going to be in 3D and, presently, it faces no competition at the box office. Unless, of course, Lionsgate preps another Saw sequel for later in the month.

Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, Toni Collette, David Tennant, Imogen Poots and Christopher Mintz-Plasse star for director Craig Gillespie. Shooting begins this summer in New Mexico.

I have to admit, I'm looking forward to this one.... even with McLovin'. I think Farell could make a great Dandridge.

I'm definitely interested to check this out. I don't think it's going to touch the original, but I could picture it being enjoyable.

Yeah stoked for this one....to begin with I couldn't picture farrell as Dandridge after seeing him in movies like "A Home at the End of the World" but I'm coming around. I just hope the score is half as cool as the original. Lots of great tunes in that flick.

I just don't understand the need for 3D... 3D movies costs $15.76 in my city. Perhaps that's the only reason they are dwelling into 3D so much?
