I picked this figures up today at Suncoast, and right when the guy who was holding the set handing it to me, I could not stop staring at those lovely figures. When I got home just a few minutes ago I opened them, and continue to marvel at their extraordinary detail, and the effort that NECA actually put into these figures.
JASON:
Let me start off this first review by saying that Jason is definately my favorite piece in this set. His jacket is identical down to the last fray, and the shirts are on in layers, as Travsall said. The head is very deformed and veiny. I do not know why anyone would want to repaint it, it looks awesome already.
My only complaints are his hands. They are a little too small, and his boots are supposed to be black, not brown. Other than that, his detail is impeccable, and the mask is pretty damn good for that size, even though the head triangle IS a little rounded.
Total on Jason: 4.9 out of 5
FREDDY:
Aside from Jason, Freddy is extremely well done also. They went and detailed little by little his head, his sweater, his hands, his glove, etc. He even comes with a demon head, but I wish they would have spent a little more time on that part. He is cross-eyed, for one thing, and also they should have included more blackened areas and a darker red, then it would have looked more like the film.
The only other thing wrong with the fig is that the pants are brown, but they are actually supposed to be grey. Other than that this figure rocks.
Freddy\'s rating: 4.5 out of 5
ACCESSORIES:
I really have no complaints on the accessories. Jason\'s machete is pretty damn cool for a small size, though I do wish there hadn\'t been a peg on the neck of the head Jason is supposed to hold. I mean, maybe NECA meant for it to be part of Freddy\'s spine or something.
TOTAL: 9.7 out of 10
PICS COMING SOON.
