Computer Help !

I switched computers yesterday and downloaded aim and used my old screen name.Well the problem is when i try to send a message or someone tries to send me a message , a window pops up saying aim has incountered a problem and needs to shut down and aim shuts down.I am really not great at computer stuff so if anyone knows anything that may help, it will be greatly appreciatted.Ive tried uninstalling aim and installing it again but does the same thing.I can sign on fine but soon as i click on a buddys name and try to send message the window pops up.if i click on the info in the box it says Error signature.the computer is a Emachines.like i said ant help will be greatly appreciatted.Thanks.

happened to me a lot.. i had to factory restore my whole machine. Works fine now

Yeah aim is really weird. But I have no clue what to do. Only thing I could think of is get a new name but then you have to add everyone again. So...I dont know.

Download a messenger program called Trillian, you can contact all messenger users with it. AOL, Yahoo, MSN, any of \'em.

well i got it workin.i had to uninstall it and download a different version of aim.So its workin.Thanks for the advice guys.
