"Halloween:Retribution" is still being made, so I doubt that they\'ll re-make it, I hope to high heaven that they wont re-make "Friday the 13th" it\'s sacriligeous.

There is nothing to be remade about Friday the 13th or Halloween. You\'ve got some movies that are remade and it works. Like The Thing from Outer Space, remade into The Thing by John Carpenter. A great movie with a very worthy remake. Or even the Texas Chainsaw Massacre \'74 to \'03. The new one didn\'t take away from the original and it was able to add its own interesting angle to it. But for the most part, Halloween is perfected. Friday the 13th is perfected. They are plain slasher movies as well and they are still held high in the public\'s eye, meaning they aren\'t unknown films. There is really no reason to have it remade, but these rumors are always going to be drifting around. My guess is to just not expect it to happen.

remaking an f13 film is stupid. when you remake a slasher, you\'ll end up with it a slasher unless someone f8cks it up

There not going to remake those 2 movies. Carpenter won\'t let them touch halloween and if you read CLM, cunnigham says there will be no F13 remake, but they are wroking on a sequel to FvsJ.  Halloween 9 is also going to happen eventually.

The sequel to FvsJ was shot down when New Line Cinema couldn\'t come to an agreement with Sam Raimi on all the technicalities. Unless of course, you\'re refering to yet another idea...which is a bad idea. Just make Fridat the 13th part 11 or 45 or whatever. I just want them to go back to the beginning and bring back the proper title. I was also at MMcon 4 and went to the Q&A with Sean Cunningham. Someone brought up a question about an F13 remake and he said he wouldn\'t be opposed to it.
