maybe this is a dumb question but it always pops in my head when im in my room, could humidity ruin latex? cuz my window is usually always open in the summer time....
heat is bad for latex. direct sun or any uv light is bad for latex. extreme dry air is bad for latex. Humidity is good, some people use humidifiers in the room they display or store thier masks.
i honestly think that massachusetts is one of the best places to live for storing collectibles. Since I collect masks, vintage toys, etc., I prefer to have the temps around 70 degrees with a moderate 50-60% humidity. As for comic books, humidity is dangerous but moderate levels is best. I feel bad for the people in Florida who have to store comic books and other fragile items. The humidity there is brutal. I\'d have to agree with Gary that more on the moderately humid side is far better than being dry. A mask rots when the latex dries and looses it\'s water component.
