Im not close to being finished. The reason im doing this guy is to get some practice in. The pics dont give alot of the details, such as small lines and stuff so he dosent looks as good as he really is.I know hes not amazing, as sculpting isnt really my thing, so please give me some feedback.[attachment=27462:jason_001.jpg][attachment=27463:jason_002.jpg][attachment=27464:jason_003.jpg][attachment=27465:jason_004.jpg]

Wow that looks great. Just give it the detail in the face and at the top of the head. Can't wait to see it finished.

Sculpting is all about adding and subtracting clay. Take a step back and build up the forms the way you want them. Don't just push around clay until it looks right. You have to develop it slower I think.See how the back of the head is bumpy? That's because you haven't been using a rake to break down the bumpy parts to smooth it out.Just using your thumbs and alcohol is not enough to smooth. You need to actually work at it with a rake over and over againAlso, those forehead lines need to be toned down. Rather than just dig into it, you need to make it more realistic if you can. Soften them up at the very least. It's really hard to give constructive criticsm to new sculptors, especially since I've only done it off and on for 6 years myself. Much easier to show someone. If I were you, I would buy one of mark alfrey's videos. You'll be like, "OH that's how they do it!"Good job too ..it's not easy to sculpt
