I know somebody recently made a thread regarding this, okay so I wanted to start getting my feet wet in sculpting so that I may be able to one day make my own masks. So theres questions I have,1. Instructional materials - anatomy books, videos, etc.2. Armature - I know MonsterMakers has one but I'm looking for one that has the shoulders included. I also saw the one Composite Effects sells but they want $95. Is that the average price to pay for one or can I get it cheaper somewhere else?3. Clay - Theres several, water based clay dries up so thats a no go, I was looking at either oil based, plastina, and WED (EM 217). But I'm not sure which one of those I should purchase. I want something that I can reuse over and over again so that I can practice.4. How much clay? How many pounds would I need to make a full sculpture from the top of the head to the shoulders?5. Tools - What kind of tools should I be looking at?I probably could have just researched all of this on google, and I did to some extent but I wanted some suggestions of the sculptors on these forums to see what I'm getting myself into. Obviously developing the skills to accurately sculpt takes ALOT of time and practice so I'm not expecting to jump right in and start a masterpiece. Also I forget to ask, how many years did it take you sculptors out there to develop the necessary skills to create accurate sculpts?ThanksNick
