Here is my second attempt at converting a Myers mask, first attempt hairing one. This one actually came to me as a blank so I did all the finishwork. I used golden mohair and dyed it with hair dye, leaving subtle blonde streaks in places. It came out looking nice and nappy, just how I like it. I'll get a quick vid of the mask up soon, as it shows it off better. I still need to add some glue and hairs in the sideburn lines. I'm really happy w/ this one considering my experience level. I think now I'm hooked and you'll see more from me soon! Let me know what you think. =CHAD=VIDEOhttp://tinypic.com/player.php?v=2urpkdk&s=4

The true color is shown in the video.... Definitely was a blast to work on. I learned quite a few new things.

Amazing, I'm going to be attempting something similar soon and hope it comes out half as good! And here I thought you were ust a Hockey Mask man! Can I ask how you dyed the mohair? I have to buy some to do my mask and it's honey gold, did you cut it to shorter lengths and dye it? How exactly did you apply the dye? Just run the hair through your fingers?

I just massaged it in as instructed and let it sit for 20 minutes, and then washed it out w/ water. The rows were cut at about 4-5". Be sure to roll the hair and mess it on the ends so it doesn't look cleanly cut. You can even use an xacto knife to run down the hair to give it a natural look on the ends. I actually did the hairline separately b/c the dye makes a mess. I dyed the strands before lying and gluing on the hairline. Blow dry, lightly brush and voila! Lots of work, but it pays off! Good luck w/ your Myers project!=CHAD=

Thanks for he info! I never woulda thought of dying the hair already on the mask... I'm kinda nervous to try a complete redo on a mask but I gotta learn sometime...
