Do Not Buy The Ghostbusters Game For The Pc !

I have not wanted a video game so bad since I was a kid ! I have been waiting for almost two years for this game since I heard it was in progress. It WAS supposed to be released TWICE last year, and both times got pushed back. Tuesday it was released and I got my copy at Gamestop last night. It came with a free Ghostbusters T-shirt, whoo hoo. Thats about the only good thing I got and its not even my size ! The game Itself is horrible. I have a computer that <i>should</i> run this game without a problem but there are lots of problems. I had to turn eeeeeverything down, all graphic and sound setting until it looked poor just to try and save it... I finally got past all the menus , movies and got to actual gameplay and it was laaaggy studdering piece of junk. more problems and it STILL will not run right. I tried updating drivers and doing a happy dance. I checked the www.ghostbustersgame.com forums and tried a couple fixes that users posted there... none of that works either and eeeeveryone is complaining who purchased the PC version.. begging for patches and fixes and really pissed off that the PC VERSION DOES NOT HAVE MULTIPLAYER ! W T F ? It dosent look like there will be multiplayer any time soon and an OFFICIAL patch from ATARI could take months since the game JUST came out two days ago. I thought the game was kept from release so it could be done " right" , and when it came out was supposed to be great but ATARI just dropped the ball with this one. Maybe ATARI just slapped their name on it and the " other" guys screwed it up but the PC version was really, really, REALLY rushed. I hear that the other platforms, X-360, PS3 etc are great AND actually HAVE multiplayer... but PC users were handed the vaseline on this one. What a great strategy... put out a game, let the people who buy it tell us whats wrong with it and after a couple months of testing and complaints THEN give them a fix for it. Thanks for the let down...... I can take the game back but only for<i> store credit</i> since its been opened. I have the PS3 version and must say I absolutely love it! Not to mention I got it for free! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":thumbsup:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> It came to me yesterday and I did not stop playing it all day. I must say it was hard to get used to the controls at first but now I'm busting ghosts like crazy. I am almost finished with the career mode and will probably finish in the next day or so. I havent played multi-player yet but will be playing it this weekend. The game has very good shock/scare value and takes a more serious approach to ghostbusting. There is still comedic one liners but the game is t for teen because of the more serious/violent/scaryness. I would recommend this to anyone with a ps3/xbox 360!

well IMO its a consolers world as of late, i have always preferred pc gaming, but its things like this that frustrate me to no degree.ive had alot of issues like that with games, and most of the time i feel cheated, the console ppl just pop and play, i love the 360, but even if mine were working ((dang red lights) id be at my computer more...all the comp troubles is just something i think we have to tolerate, its the nature of the beast, when so many little things could go wrong, they probably will. course what gets me and i kno others, is when we spend a good chunk of change on something that for some ungodly reason isnt compatible with something,(game developers dropping the ball) and then we cant even return the (Dern, I done gone and growed another head) thing, it just eats us alive.sucks to hear this man, i feel ya.
