Remake Mask - These 2 Masks One In The Same?

Then, in that weathered state, the crew went back and shot the scenes where Jason finds the mask, and the daylight shot where Nolan is shot with the arrow. All the other scenes were shot before the mask was extremely weathered. So, this mask gives some insight into the order in which the film was actually shot imo. Pretty cool. It seems to make sense because the deleted scene of Jason finding the mask shows the "earlier" version of the mask. This shows that the "final take" was a "reshoot", because they were not happy with the first version for whatever reason. But since the mask had already been "weathered", they had no choice but to either use a different mask, or use the newly weathered version. I guess they liked the look of the newly weathered version so they used it. Interesting stuff I think. But, I'm not entirely 100% convinced of this theory because if you compare the 3 frames where this mask appears in it's exact same weathered state, the mask is virtually identical in the "Jason finds the mask" and "daylight" shot, but for the woodchipper scene the mask is even MORE distressed. Somewhere along the film the mask was purposely or accidently distressed further for some reason. Id love to know weather this was purposeful or accidental but I guess that's one fact we will never knowRich
