They are sewn and made to look torn but they are not really. HOOD, WITH LINER ATTATCHED- The liner is sewn to the hoodie to make the liner more solid. the liner is stained brown and looks completely filthy, each hole is colored in to look dusty as well. Lot of work. The hoodie is darkened and filthy (lloks greatRED Flannel - Ripped and dusty in spots. Just shows out a little bit.LONG JACKET, with different material for the arms. I wanted a heavy texture on the amrs of the jacket with the jacket itself being thing so it would look like the hobo jacket. The arms have liner coming out of the ends (sewn in) and flannel sticking out of the arms. The holes in the arms also show red flannel throuhgh but each piece had a layer of flannel sewn in to make it appear that way.
