Today marks the 19th anniversary of the death of Queen lead man Freddie Mercury. The famed rocker died of AIDS in 1991 at the age of 45. While we lost one of the greatest voices in rock history, his legend goes on around the world. Let's pay the guy some respect, eh?

It's still as sad as it ever was. AIDS is so horrible...

I'll make sure to listen to my "Night at the Opera" on vinyl sometime today in remembrance of him.

    Cheers,

    Ryan

Rock on, Ryan! Opera is my all time favorite Queen album, and nothing beats it on vinyl!

And Mike, I too get chills when I see watch the Radio Ga Ga video at Live Aid. EVERY single person in the audience clapping their hands in unicen. No other performer could achieve that!

Indeed it is so sad that the world was robbed of such a talent. I grew up listening to Queen, in fact they were the first band I got into when I was only 12. So everything I listen to now is a result of Queen in a way. They will always have my love and respect. There will never be a voice as amazing as Freddie Mercury's.

My favorite singer of all time as well. Simply the best. Will have to listen to some "Don't Stop Me Now" when I get home. RIP shootin' star.

I remember this day back in 1991. I was delivering newspapers when I read the news.

"And, we'll keep on fighting, 'til the end..."
