I think it\'s handy in alot of ways, but as a game console it blows...battery life sucks, too expensive, games aren\'t that much different from ps2 games....I don\'t see much point...there\'s not really much fun factor to it...just get a nice mp3 player man...and maybe a Nintendo DS...that thing is killer, and you can buy a 1 gig gameboy advance cartridge and fill it with emulators and old NES roms and play it in the DS...how cool is that?

PSP is defently an awesome machine. I\'d rather own it then a PS2. Gary I would really hold off on buying one since Apple just released the video IPOD. Sony really wants to compete with the IPOD so the rumor going around is that next year while the wait for PS3 they are talking about releasing a PSP with a harddrive of some sorts. It only makes since since a third party company makes a hardrive for the PSP that is 4gb and it makes your battery last longer. Also the 2.0, etc... is the firmware version. And for the people who play emulators on the DS you can do the same with the PSP.

The psp is not too expensive for what it is if you have a decent job. I\'d sooner invest 300 into a revolutionary portable console than a 250 dollar mask. How is there no fun factor to a psp?? Anywhere I want I can pop in my halloween disc, play grand theft auto, listen to cowboys from hell and top it off with some friday the 13th part 4. The ds isn\'t suitable to wipe my psp\'s ass, if it had an ass that is.

Amen man. The DS is a neat machine, but all the games are just rehases of their older stuff as well. And the new games they do make its just some weird game that usually even too weird to play on the DS like metroid pinball. I couldn\'t imagine trying to concentrate on a whole board being split in the half in the middle. I\'m happy playing very nice looking games on my psp, being able to watch movies, listen to music, and play all the same old emulators an DS can.

I basically said that both systems are just making rehashes of earlier system games. I just rather play more advance ps2 games and some of the same games you can play that they rehash for the DS on a handheld then play nintendo 64 qaulity games on a DS.

I got a psp at best buy at 5am this morning
regular value pack with 32mb memory card
out of the games I wanted they only had
socom:navy seals: fireteam bravo (one game)
awesome game..I couldn\'t put it down
once I really get used to the contols I\'m gonna have me some fun

the gamehad the 2.0 upgrade right on the UMD disk
    so that answers that question
not sure if I should have installed it or not
    but that is another story...

    thanks for the info guys
