Last I heard they were supposed to be remaking part 3 so that it fit into continuity with the other films.
They were just waiting on a finished sceenplay.

Nope, quite serious, apparently the mojority of fans have been up in arms for years because Halloween 3 had nothing to do with the Halloween story and Michael Myers, so they\'re working on a remake involving Michael.

Have to say I cant see that happening... I can see them remaking Part 1... or doing Part 9, sequel to Ressuerction... but very much doubt they will go back and make a Part 3 with Myers...
