Hey guys I got a Blank DMC5 Fred from Frosty(thanks man)
I dont have a compressor
but I do have latex paint
any tips on brush painting?
without getting streaks?

and how to add veins
and also what dremel bit is used to trim the seam line?

Come on guys, give the man the advice he is asking for. Shipping stuff around is a ballache.

Righto cotton bullet tip and laquer thinner will remove the seam, mix up your basecoat, half paint half latex, put on your basecoat with a brush and then tap over it lightly with a sponge to get rid of brushmarks, give it a blast with a hairdryer and give it another coat till you have a good coverage.
Then mix up a darker shade using your base flesh and adding burnt seinna, mix up a puddle of this on a piece of plastic, (cd cases are good for this, and add some water with a drop or two of detergent in (this helps it flow into the details) then using two brushes one in a small pot of water,brush on a small amount to one of the wounds in the mask, working slowly take the clean brush moistened with water and blend it down you want a nice blended edge, not a hard edge, Once you have colored all the wounds, you want to mix up some burnt umber with a bit of water and some latex, you want a nice thick mix, take a large brush and working a section at a time brush on the paint totally cover a small section, then grab a clean moist soft cloth and wipe most of it off, you want to leave it only in the crevices, this is a great technique for this mask as it brings out all the details, once the whole mask is done like this,go over it and see if you missed anywere, and touch up as necessary.
Veining is hard using a brush, i would put a few here and there but don\'t go nuts with it.
Now take your base flesh and add a couple of drops of yellow to it, then taking a large flat brush dip it in the paint and then rub most of the paint off on a rag, this is called drybrushing and is a good way to add highlights to your mask, take the brush and lightly fan it across the raised details, work slowly with this, you aregoing for a slight yellowy flesh look .
Then go back to the basecoat add a little bit of white to it, only a bit you want to lighten the base coat slightly, then go over certain area\'s with this again drybrushing carefully.
Then dry this all off, and get yourself some perma wet or similar monster makers has it, alternatively you can use a couple of coats of krylon matte spray, and then gloss the wounds with liquitex gloss medium, i have never tried the spray can but i have heard it is usefull.

Corel as a base colour, terracota base flesh, corel and red for burns, and medium flesh for highlights.
