I went into Home Depot today to look at their PVC pipe selection. I want to build a lifesize Jason. Perhaps 2 or 3 of them if the first one works out.

I noticed there are several different sizes with the pieces. Can anyone give any advice on how to make this work and the best sizes to get??? Do I need glue? When finished, how will I be able to keep him standing?

For anyone who has ever built one using PVC, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

you look for maybe something like 3/4 to 1/2", and then you look for matching size joints, they\'ll be in the same place, and get as much as you need, then cut to the sizes you want, and then after you completed the stucture its a good idea to glue, so no pieces fall off.

Fill his boots with plaster. I\'ve only made one PVC mannequin but that\'s what I did. It was alot smaller though.
For the hands, use small dowels for all the finger bones and a small piece of wood for the main hands. Then attach them with wire(stapled to each piece of wood) and it acts as a poseable joint.

Another idea that would work great for a Pt7 is building a small piece of dock for a base. Drill through the bottom of the boots and bolt them to the dock. Lots more area touching the floor that way.

I plan on starting this in a couple of days. Hope it works out. I\'ll post pics when it\'s completed.
