Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

Did they know where to find your safe and how to get in or did you have it out in the open and unlocked? Were they wearing gloves? There should be prints all over your house and on you. I\'d bet that at least one of them has been printed in the past.

Thanks for the kind words. Money is replaceable. My life is not. So someone was looking over me in that respect. Next purchase for me will be the infamous peephole.

That\'s what I consider true horror. Having a gun pointed at you, being tied up, and basically helpless. Those are the kinds of scenes in movies that usually get under my skin. I can only imagine how it must be in reality.

Wow, that guy must\'ve been high to tell you all of that. Or maybe he was just trying to set someone else up, or maybe he want\'s to get caught. If I knew anything about City of Villains, I\'d help ya out, but with those clues, you should get some kind of answers. This isn\'t like a delayed April fool\'s joke is it?

Yeah, my safe was in my closet....but opened. And no, they had plenty of time to look around for it. I\'m glad it was open, otherwise they would\'ve gotten all my keys too. My one shining moment was when they realized I had an alarm system. (it wasn\'t set) The fear in there eyes and voices was like a godsend. So even though it was unarmed, at least it got them OUT. And, yes the cops dusted the safe for prints, and took the tape and zip ties as evidence. So hears hopin.

The cops around here don\'t do much, so I\'d understand why you\'d want people outside the police force to assist you. My dad\'s house got broken into while he was out of town, and a whole family was living in his home for a week, ate all of his food, bought paperview, ran up the phone bill, etc, and when they moved out they took EVERYTHING and trashed what they left, like the furniture. Sad There were fingerprints everywhere, and the cops had said that it looked like those people did that kind of thing a lot, but they never arrested anyone... I even described the car they were driving, because I had seen a strange car parked out front of my dad\'s house during that week. It really sucks, and kinda makes you feel unsafe for a while. Things will get better though once the initial shock wears off, and you get that peephole. Smile

Man that\'s awful. Hopefully the police can help you out. Having a gun pointed at you has got to be one of the worse expeciences. I hope I never have to know what that\'s like.

definetely one of the more awful experiences I\'ve heard of. Good thing you had an alarm though and that they left.

Cops never help it seems. The one time I filed a report, *I was jumped by 10-12 people* they called me about 3 months later and said they lost the paperwork and asked if I wanted to start a new investigation from scratch. I didn\'t of course, didn\'t see much point in it.

But I can\'t imagine how pissed I\'d be if someone came in my home like that. I really feel for ya man.

You know man, re-reading your first post, I keep thinking that it sounds like someone who knows you. How else did they know you had a safe and had money? Someone set you up or was running thier mouth about your sh*t in the wrong place.

Like I said I\'m mostly grateful. Sure, I was pissed, sure I was scared. There is alot of little details about all this that make it really strange to me. It just hurts to think someone I\'m really close to may possibly be involved. Shatters my trust like nothing else could. Eva had it right, the reason I posted this (against my better judgement) is because I have a feeling nothing will be done. I hear stories of police having much more to go on, and cases just fade into oblivion. I mean I had to pretty much convince the officer that this particular info was worthy. Like I said, I just want them caught, so no one else has to experience that.
