Agreed, the price is steeeeep, however, you are getting a Blu-Ray HD-DVD player for $600 as well. Currently, Blu-Ray players are at least around $1000. There will 2 versions of the PS3 at launch, 60 GB @ $599 and the 20GB @ $499. Bear in mind the 20 GB will be lacking wi-fi capabilities, mem. card ports, and HDMI outputs, which means very little now but as everyone upgrades to HD tv\'s over the next couple of years will be a huge problem. kind of like having a Porche body with a Pinto engine in it.

I\'m waiting for the revolution(wii now?) I\'m not a serious enough a gamer to merit dropping 500 on a system. The wii, my comp and my psp will be enough for me.

Yea the thing is by that time.. the RE-5 will be out for both 360 n PS3 so i dont even know if they will get pt-5
